Sakıp Sabancı Museum starts in the museum garden before even entering the museum.
The garden includes species found in our country as well as endemic plants from all over the world. The garden is adorned with mimosa, magnolia, linden and lavender, and includes Aleppo pine, Florida dogwood and Alexandrian laurel, as well as 150-year-old monumental trees.
While the museum has permanent collections such as calligraphy, sculpture and decorative works, various changing exhibitions also meet art lovers.
On the day I write this article, an adult conference is taking place and Halil Berktay is talking about the destruction that Nazism created in society, especially with regard to the painter Georg Baselitz. I am learning about this in the evening while preparing this article.
I listened to the various topics that Halil Hoca talked about for hours, I liked it very much, but I am currently in pain because I missed this live conference.
